She likes sun and I like rain She likes pleasure and I like pain I like whiskey and she likes wine She likes palm and I like pine I think we'll always work If I try not to be a jerk Try not to crawl too far inside If she'll pretend I'm not that easy to find I like walking and he likes to drive I like summer and he likes the wintertime I like cake and he likes to pass I want to go first but he can never last And I think we'll always work If I try not to be a jerk Try not to go and love him too hard Let him think that he's holding the cards She likes a good time, we'll be the last to leave If swearing were a sport she'd be the MVP And he likes fighting, at least he talks a good game I just smile and hope that he gets out of the way She likes talking and I don't talk enough But I know she loves me, so I ain't got it that rough He likes quiet and I don't shut up But I know he loves me, so I ain't got it so tough I think we'll always work If we try not to be a jerk Try not to ti[ the scales to the side Of the one who's wrong or the one who's right I think we'll always work If we try not to be a jerk Try not to forget this time It's not always going to be peaches and wine

Snow is coming down From heaven to the ground Watch it dance so softly, silently Cover all the boughs Roof of every house As we lay and dream Sun is shining down From heaven to the ground Warming ever moment masterfully Worry floats on by And off into the sky Drifts away with no hello or goodbye We dream a song and sing along in key With nature's words and chorusing birds In complete harmony to accompany you and me The fall is coming now Auburn golden brown Hear the leaves rustling a symphony Nights are cool and clear A chill as winter nears Won't you lay another blanket on the bed Oh yes, lay another blanket on the bed

about

So excited to announce that I have finally secured the rights to the first single by Bobby and Dee Dee Pimento (lovingly dubbed “America’s Neighbors”) from the long defunct Dandy Records, “Peaches and Wine (Try not to be a jerk).” After over a year and a half of back and forth with Alan Feldman’s (Majorette label and Dandy imprint owner) grandnephew, I was granted exclusive distribution rights to this classic song, a small hit in the Midwest long before such massive hits as “God Forbid…” and “Always With The Yelling” put The Pimentos forever into America’s heart and homes for much of the 1950’s through the 70’s. Included with this tune is an early Bobby Pimento B-side, “Lay Another Blanket.”
